It further illustrates my point about your focus on turning the ship around with The Suburban Collection. That's VERY encouraging.

I hope that the #SocialTestDrive program continues to bring a lot of GREAT reviews for your dealerships. I had a BLAST being part of the program, and hope that my experience is a rare exception going forward - and that it will ultimately be nothing more than a blip on your radar of awesome customer service in the future. :-)

Re: 18 Million Dollars And A Brand New Jeep

Lisa,
Thank you for participating in the Suburban Collection #SocialTestDrive program. It was great reading about your experience especially as the “only” driver ;-). It was not so great however reading about your customer service experience. That being said, we would like to thank you for being forthright and writing about it. While it is never easy to hear about where we missed the mark obviously we dropped the ball this time. For that we apologize. We have forwarded your review to the General Manager of the store so that he can address with his team the gaps in customer service you experienced. We are truly grateful for all your feedback, since it is only when we are aware of a problem that we can work to resolve it. If there is anything we can assist with in the future please let us know.

Regards,
Daniel Boismier
Internet Director
The Suburban Collection

Re: Can I Call You, Maybe?

You continue to amaze me with your generosity, Lisa! I've wanted to do so for a long time, but that old friend "fear" has held me back. As the day's gone on I've felt more and more like it was finally time to take the plunge. And then I came home to your see what you've written. I needed to hear this and I thank you for writing it. It's time to jump into my new testament...and believe that all will be well because I will be supported by loving Spirit.

Re: Your Old Testament

Maggie,
THANK YOU for stopping in, first-timer. We DO spend our old testament not being us. We're learning the ropes, trying to figure out the boundaries others have laid down for us, and then we start hearing our True Self whispering and calling us back to ourselves.

And yeah, It popped up on netflix, and I remembered the pitching scene, so I wanted to reconnect to that for this series... then I saw the horse scene at the end, which evoked more stuff for me. Really good flick. Thanks for sharing it. :-)

Re: Your Old Testament

First time here ... thanks for this post. Just love, as you said, that "a new testament isn't a clean slate", and how you write about your realizations. We take in so much, and how it all coalesces is fascinating.

Re: Your Old Testament

As I was reading your post, Lisa, I thought of a cool plaque I have hanging in my kitchen. It says, "When I grow up, I want to be ME." :-)

In reflecting on what you wrote, I see that much of my "old testament" was spent trying to NOT be me... to be what I thought I needed to be. And now that I am living and writing my "new testament", it's all about discovering and being who I really am, warts and all. What you are calling True Self. Which makes me wonder if the "wilderness" of the old testament (biblical and other) is called simply by forgetting who and WHOSE we already are. Hmmmm...

So glad you watched 28 Days... powerful movie, huh?

Re: Your Old Testament

It's eye-opening for me to realize (as if I should have known all along or something), that every moment is really an augmentation of what's already come to pass in our history. When you spend years living in the "shoulds" of expectations, you forget that your True Self is still there, sitting quietly, waiting for you to re-connect and play along with you on your journey.

I am often surprised by how it takes a series of instances to create a convergence for my ephiphanies. Your class led to the conversation with Sally, which came back around when Teresa was talking with me, etc. There's a saying about needing to hear about Jesus 15 times before you "believe" and I'm beginning to think it's true for more than just that. Stuff connects in ways we don't often fathom, and that's what I've been learning on this journey to connect with my own True Self. So this isn't just some e-course I'm facilitating. I'm right in it along with you. :-)

And truly, the honor is mine. I'm very lucky to have such brilliantly gifted friends for my journey!

Re: Your Old Testament

Oops... left out a whole sentence there...
What I love about this post, and all of your work lately, is your sheer determination to carve yourself into the world YOUR WAY. I am watching and learning from your courage and the beauty of the form that you're bringing into the world through your music and writing; through the exploration of the ideas that keep pushing you to your own edges (and leading your readers to our own) ...

Re: Your Old Testament

The whole world seems to be moving through this kind of awakening, doesn't it? Each of us hearing the call of a personal 'new testament." What I love about this post, and all of your work lately, is the recognition that this call, as you wrote, will be built on the foundation of the old testament. Thank you for sharing your journey so vividly, so openly with us. This is brilliant work and I'm honored to be mentioned here.

Re: The Sun And Moon In You

Amen! The more I look at the dualism in our lives, the more I realize there's nothing we can do to remove it - all we can do is try to pretend it doesn't exist. And you point out very nicely that doing that will not bring us peace. Peace comes in accepting all of who we really are, accepting our True Self.

Re: The Sun And Moon In You

Good morning Lisa. Again, lots to think about here. Really well written, though provoking words on the dual nature that lives within all of us. I think living a life of real authenticity means really looking at all we are, and that includes our shadows. We need to recognize our shadows and come to peace with them. They are part of what makes us whole.

Re: Training Wheels

I think you make a good point.
